Well, life sure keeps us guessing, doesn't it? We are planning a move to the Henderson, NV area (a suburb on the edge of Las Vegas). I will be moving my quilting business to our new home, and hopefully, will become a dealer for quilting machines, as well as the software to make them computerized. Our move is planned for the fall, and we've already picked out a house. It needs some work (foreclosure as many are in that area) and we'll be making several trips out there to get the contractors lined up. Most houses don't have rooms big enough for the longarm machine, so we are having to adapt (tear down a wall or two) the space so it fits our needs. Depending on my progress in that area, I would like to have a retreat sometime this summer. Is anyone out there interested? If so, please let me know.
I'll keep you all posted -

Art and Stitch Instruction
I am a certified instructor for Art and Stitch, the digitizing software for longarm quilters. I travel often to Colorado and Las Vegas, and am available for Art & Stitch instruction and demonstrations in these two states as well as Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Arkansas. Art & Stitch is a wonderful, easy-to-learn program that will have you designing and digitizing your quilting designs like a pro! This software can be utilized for computerized longarm quilt systems, embroidery digitizing, and you can create your own paper quilting patterns if you don't own a computerized system. Contact me if you would like to know how this software can help you in your quilting business, or with your personal quilting goals.
Colorado Quilt Retreats
Beginning in April 2012, I am offering quilt retreats in a beautiful Colorado Log Cabin. I can accommodate up to 6 quilters at a time in a beautiful, relaxed surrounding. Our cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and is surrounded by pines, aspens, and a variety of wildlife. Located behind Pikes Peak, in southern Colorado, the air is clear, dry and we have a lot of sunshine! Look for pictures of the cabin and its surroundings on this blog in the near future. Please contact me if you have any questions and get some of your best quilting buddies together to schedule a retreat. We will provide your accomodations, complete with food, a table, chair, lighting for each quilter, and access to an Accuquilt Go! for all quilters to use. In addition, you may choose to have a weekend where a project is planned for you, or you may choose to just come and sew, and breathe in the clean air. Colorado Springs has some nice quilt shops, so we will plan a mini-shop hop during your stay. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you will join me in the mountains in 2012!
Welcome!
